Document: Cloud Backup Policy

Organization: NexaTech Solutions

Purpose: Ensure company data is regularly backed up and recoverable in case of system failure or cyber incidents.

All production databases must be backed up daily at 02:00 UTC. Backups are stored in AWS S3 with cross-region replication. Critical systems require hourly incremental backups.

Backup retention rules:

• Daily backups retained for 30 days
• Monthly backups retained for 12 months

Access to backup storage is limited to DevOps engineers and the security team. All backup data must be encrypted using AES-256 encryption.

Backup restoration tests must be conducted every quarter to verify recovery procedures.
